Calligraphy

I love calligraphy so much! It's really fun, but I'm terrible at it. Everyone makes it look so easy, but I guess they've been practicing for a long time. I really want to get good at it, when you can do it well it's really beautiful. I do calligraphy at school (although I haven't been at school all week, so I haven't done it much), and yesterday I went to calligraphy class with my host sister. I didn't know what kanji to do, so I my host sister was like "do Arashi! Arashi!" Arashi are my favorite boyband. The teacher said the kanji was really hard, but she insisted I do it!
Indeed, it was really difficult!! This was probably my best one, I had to write it so many times before it got that good, and it's still ugly. The teacher said it's hard even for Japanese people, so that made me feel a bit better. But I was pretty proud I could do it at all, it's really difficult! But see all those little orange swirls? Those are the teacher's marks that mean "this looks awesome!" Yatta! Calligraphy is hard because you have to pay really close attention to the pressure you put on your brush, your speed, the angles, and so many other things. But I really want to learn more about it, it's fun!

This isn't related to calligraphy, but this it's Arashi's new single "Everything." It's on T.V. all the time here! I saw this performance live on Utaban last week :D
